I took a drive up to a place on Tulie creek today. The creek runs year round and is an oasis in the desert that is not visible from the road.

A blog primarily about southern New Mexico and the Tularosa Basin. Observations and moments that escape us on a normal day make it into the blog. Photographs of the truly unique landscape, including the towns of Alamogordo, La Luz, Cloudcroft, Tularosa, Ruidoso, High Rolls, Mountain Park, Weed, Pinon, Sacramento and other communities.
There is a beautiful waterfall on Tulie Creek that you use to be able to get to from the highway that goes up to Ruidoso. Heading east, it is somewhere between the town and the bridge that crosses the creek near the Mescalero Apache reservation. Since they rebuilt the highway, I have lost my landmarks.
