Everywhere in Alamogordo there is road work going on. Streets are often temporarily closed. The major thing seems to be the cut-outs at the curbs like this one near the library.

I seen them removing those corner triangle things recently. They are currently removing soon that one picture. The other photo was communications and street electrical working on the traffic box. The triangles were designed by engineer Edward balderama. They are being removed due to tort claims from cars hitting them busting tires aND a recent suit from a blind pedestrian falling getting seriously injured.
