It is the only structure left.
I imagine the ranch children attended here.
I wonder where the bell went. This is outside of Capitan.

ReplyDeleteHI I added it to the Blog. I had to make sure I was spelling it right. I don't know anything about the town or if it was even ever a town.
ReplyDeleteMy parents homesteaded on the north side of the Capitan Mountains, and my oldest brother and my three sisters attended school in Encinoso. Lon Merchant was a cattle rancher and his wife was the school teacher there. My oldest sister married one of her sons when she grew up.
