Pink cactus

I spied this cactus blooming in a spectacular fashion.  It felt neglected there among the Bermuda.
I always wonder at the energy it takes a plant, especially a desert plant, to bloom.
The perfect paper-thin petals, the stalk and the delicate beauty astound me.

  1. This must be Nature's way of reminding us "not to judge a book by it's cover". Plain on the outside but the potential of amazing beauty within.
